Jamaica social impact report

At Uzuri, we believe in the power of social entrepreneurship to drive positive change. Through our initiative to donate reusable sanitary products to women and girls in Jamaica, we are not only addressing a critical need but also making a significant impact on their lives and the environment. This impact report outlines the outcomes of our efforts and highlights the progress we've made in achieving our goals.

Ghana social impact report

Ghana has long grappled with the issue of period poverty, which disproportionately affects women and girls across the country. In the past, Ghana has been recognised as one of the worst countries for period poverty in Africa, with many women and girls facing challenges accessing affordable and hygienic menstrual hygiene products. In response to this pressing issue, a local NGO initiated a campaign to distribute reusable period products in communities across the country.

Gambia social impact report

In Gambia like many African nations, period poverty is a pervasive issue that disproportionately affects women and girls from low-income backgrounds. Limited access to menstrual hygiene products often leads to health risks, school absenteeism, and social stigma. To address this challenge, Uzuri launched a campaign to distribute reusable period products in rural communities across Gambia.

London social impact report

Uzuri’s London Ambassador took the lead in the initiative to donate reusable sanitary products to women and girls in a chain of hostels in London, UK.

Through a strategic partnership with Manor Place hostel, we were able to make a tangible and lasting impact.

Donate

By donating to this silent pandemic, you're supporting individuals who struggle to afford essential menstrual products. This, in turn, promotes gender equality by addressing a specific challenge faced by women and girls.

Moreover, inadequate access to menstrual products can lead to missed school or work days, impacting education and economic opportunities. Your donation helps break down these barriers, allowing individuals to pursue their goals without the hindrance of period-related challenges.

As we embark on our journey to make a difference in the lives of individuals affected by period poverty, we are filled with gratitude for your unwavering support and generosity. Your donations are more than just financial contributions; they are acts of kindness that have the power to transform lives and create lasting change.

A BIG THANK YOU
